Dismantled

Hi there zinesters!

I recently finished my second zine Dismantled. It's a post break up zine (ouch!) It's a lot deeper and much darker in comparison to Monkey Socks. 

It is quarter page sized and has twenty pages of short handwritten text and simple newspaper artwork with black fine liner detailing.

I've made a limited copy of this one and I'm willing to trade it far and wide (the further and wider the better really, I don't want it sitting around my bedroom for long!)

Monkey Socks

My first zine titled Monkey Socks is finished!

Monkey Socks is a 12 page exploration of sock monkeys, the classic and quirky American toy.

The zine measures 15cm x 10.5cm and is photocopied on white office paper. It features original hand drawn illustrations with details made in red pen.

Hi there,

My name is Amy and I am brand new to the world of zines.

I am drawn to zines because they are a fantastic medium for so many things: artwork, writing, political rants etc. They are also really easy (and cheap!) to make. Plus who doesn't want their work self-published?!

Materials vary, but all I need is some paper, a couple of black and red pens, a ruler, scissors, a stapler, a photocopier and a big imagination.

Voila! A new zine is born! :)
